She was Bunker Hill’s principal before enrollment dropped snd it closed temporarily. She then became the principal of Ross ES for 3 years. She fired anyone who did not bend to her ( thus firing a couple of very competent teachers).
The school had 3 counselors ( former teachers) at one point while different subs were covering teacherless classrooms. That’s when the in boundary parents ( about 15 % of the overall population back then) pulled their kids out and enrolled them elsewhere. The school flourished after she left becoming 80% in boundary a few years later.

Who do we have to call/write/bribe to seal the deal with her?

Oh no!!! She used to be a big proponent of charter schools. Let’s not forget how Bunker Hill Closed after she was principal there, and most of the in boundary families left after she got rid of the ESOL program during her second year and fired the best teachers less than a month after the start of the school year. That year the school ended with double digit number of students.

It says double digit gains in literacy and math on her bio. Is that what you mean? Can't be easy to get those gains if she "fired the best teachers less than a month after the start of the school year".

I think folks in dcps are corrupt. The money that is siphoned away from kids/schools is real. If you work in CO long enough, you see it. You either see it & quit or see it & let it happen/take your own cut.
No one stats in dc schools with clean hands

You are talking about the wrong person. Bunker Hill has never closed.

I agree. She’s smart, talented, driven, and knows all the angles to this city. Choosing someone (again) instead of her would be foolish and a step backwards (again).

The Washington Post wrote this week on challenges many districts, including DC, were having filling chancellor / superintendent positions and some of the reasons why.

My between the lines read was that the quoted council members and mayoral aides were laying the groundwork for hiring Alexander. Coincidentally Denver has been going through a similar search and last week offered the job to its interim person.https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/dc-is-one-of-the-nations-highest-profile-school-systems-do-people-still-want-to-lead-it/2018/11/27/faf590da-f276-11e8-bc79-68604ed88993_story.html?utm_term=.647217ffa226

Also the panel advising the mayor convened briefly today and was briefed on finalists. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/board-advising-search-for-a-dc-schools-chancellor-convenes/2018/12/01/ba102c2e-f587-11e8-aeea-b85fd44449f5_story.html?utm_term=.354f6933b712

Is there any reason to think Alexander will not be picked as chancellor? Heck, even Arne Duncan said in WaPo we should keep the job with a local.

Who do we have to call/write/bribe to seal the deal with her?
