Honestly, how many people even heard of him before he was killed? I can't figure out why this single incident is such a significant a U.S. foreign policy issue.


You can't figure out why our President (who calls journalists the enemy of the people and has disregarded the US Intelligence community's assessment of the murder), defending the murder of a journalist (who was an American resident) who was tortured to death at the behest of the Saudi crown prince (one of our biggest allies in the Middle East) is a significant U.S. foreign policy issue?

Jamal Khashoggi was a journalist for the Washington Post - an American publication that often criticizes the President. Trump has often said he would personally punch journalists or otherwise joked about journalists getting attacked. If a journalist working for an American news organization can get murdered with the presidents blessing - is anyone safe?

And he had an intimate connection with the DC area since he worked for the Washington Post. Citizenship does not determine your worth PP.
