Except unfortunately SJC has been focusing on boys sports at the expense of girls sports.

You must not have been following SJC girls in the past few years. Take a look at their cross country, basketball, and track records as of recent. Also, their girl teams are strong in other sports. They have it all --equestrian, ice hockey, field hockey, soccer, swim and I believe crew. What else are you looking for.

SR is a great school, but a step down from Visitation and St. Johns for athletics. Visitation has won the ISL Lewis Cup 9 of the last 10 years. Visi also has higher average SAT's than SR (per the college counseling school profiles on the their websites).

Something like 90% of Oakcrest HS play on one of the school's teams. The HS students have a PE credit requirement every year and playing on a team is one way to fulfill that requirement. Many kids also play two or more sports. The school is in the PVAC and won the Director's Cup. Academics are excellent. College counseling starts in 9th grade. The brother school is The Heights, but there are no formal mixer events. Some people find this to be a drawback, but the boys and girls who are interested in meeting one another and dating them, do.

Hmmm. My child rides the bus with Landon boys and has done a play with Landon. Not sure what your daughter is doing but Landon is the brother school and from what my daughter says-they are nice/cute boys. The ones over our house are.

Holton Arms

I agree about Holton but I'm not sure what is being asked in terms of connection to a boys school. My daughter is both an athlete and top student at Holton but being connected to a boys' school was never a factor in our decision. She doesn't even know any Landon boys if that's what you're wondering about. I'd take that off the table if you're looking for the best school for your daughter TBH.
