+1

You'll be too caught up in the throes of labor to even hear what the nurse is telling you what to do/counting.

Yeah I mean you do you but I wouldn’t have known what was playing.

OP here - as noted this is my second. I'm all about the epidural and after being in labor for 30+ hours upbeat music gave me the energy needed for 2 hours of pushing at 4AM. I remember loathing my husband for letting a john denver song come on, feeling very awkward in a dmx song that uses the N word a lot came up, and actually delivered my baby to a great song. I very much remember the music and needed it to get through the workout that is pushing.

I took a radio. My first was born to the music of a Bach concerto, and the second one, who came more quickly, was born to a radio show discussing decluttering. I remember both well!

S/O from other thread - give me song ideas! I like very energizing and fun top 40 type stuff - not calming meditative type stuff. Think of a great workout class type music. The problem I had last baby was that a lot of that type music has a lot of explicit language which was super awkward for the 2 hours of pushing in an otherwise silent delivery room at 4am. Think like a dmx song coming on and 4 people silently listening to the lyrics between contractions - so awkward. So give me ideas that aren't awkward please!
