I know several Muslim families - all highly educated - who were absolutely convinced this must have been a hate-crime, caused by Islamaphobia in Trump's America.
100%, steadfastly convinced of it.
Some of them probably now believe there has been a coverup, and there is an Islamophobic murderer on the loose.
Their paranoia is boundless.
They must not be that "highly educated" if they think an illegal alien gang member is a Trump supporter and acting out on feeling emboldened.
