Honda Pilot is by far the best car I have ever owned. Bought it new 16 years ago. Runs like a dream

Lol re PP. we have the ascent and love it. Great pick-up and is one of the larger more moderately sized 3rd rows SUVs. Don’t know how it compares to pilot because didn’t look at it but bigger and more pep than highlander. We have the captains chairs which my kids love. We are Subaru people though, had the outback before this and loved that too but needed more room. Drive both and see how you feel. Also we took the kids with us to test them and have them react to third rows in each.

I test drive the Ascent when it came out last spring. Hard pass. Not even in the same league as other "large" SUVs.


Too underpowered, engine seemed like it was adequate for hauling two people with no other load, but with 5-7 people you could just tell it was going to strugle. And li looks too similar to the Outback. Plus, consumer reports had some warning about the transmissions in Subarus having lots of problems the last several years.

Has anyone gone from a Honda Pilot to a Subaru Ascent? Are you glad you did?
