I've had transfers at other places, even at this same clinic, but it's been a while. Having someone drive me after transfer was never a thing, as anesthesia is not involved. In terms of resting afterward, I've had mixed recommendations. I asked the clinic about driving myself if my husband isn't available, and they said to take Uber or taxi. Have things changed recently?
Did you drive yourself after? What about resting all day, which I'm assuming means not going to work? I have a desk job, so not strenuous, and wasn't really thinking of taking the whole day off. I've done it both ways and had success neither way, but just curious what the current thinking is on all of this at different clinics in the area. It's a Day 3 transfer.
I had two FET's at Shady Grove (both unsuccessful), and my husband drove me. I was able to work the rest of the day, but I did take it easy. I would see no problem with driving myself. This week I had a day 3 transfer (IVF) in NY and I live in DC. After transfer, I walked a bit, uber'd to penn station, and took the train home. They didn't have a problem with it.
