I know you don't want to come to MOCO but I'm pretty happy with Ensor Lewis and Johnson which is a special needs dentistry practice in Rockville for children and adults. They do also see typical patients.

Dr Lewis is the pediatric special needs dentist and she understands what I am up against in terms of teeth brushing. She's filled some cavities in my kid and his visits have been very non-traumatic.

I hate it here so much. I keep begging my husband to move, but we're kinda temporarily trapped due to his job and the housing marketing being a little slow here. Next year...we have to get out of here.

Thanks for the referral. I'm kinda desperate so I might be willing to take a drive.

Different experience. Kuwabara was very harsh with our kid with special needs. Very strident opinions about world politics, too.

Dr Christine Reardon in va.
Totally worth the drive she is excellent with SN kids - understanding but doesn’t do more than needs to be done (she’s protective of a kids health).
If needed she has laughing gas and also full anesthesia in office. Your child could also try a Valium before too.
My SN autistic kid loves her and the whole practice.

Saw a Dr Kwatra (sp?) of MVP smiles. He’s in Gaithersburg MD. We’re in DC and go out there. They’re out of network but they submitted claims.

+1 for Dr. Kuwabara. He's got the magic touch with SN kids.

Thank you! I'll give them a call.

I would rather not go into DC, but it sounds like dentist is the best.

Its in Friendship Heights so off the Chevy Chase beltway. We had a bad experience at the other doctor recommended but they are popular too.

My DC also sees Dr. Lewis at Ensor Johnson and Lewis in Rockville. My DC wouldn’t open her mouth for other dentists but would at this practice. They will use laughing gas if needed.

Smile Land on University Blvd.

I randomly picked them off my insurance website and they've been incredible.

Dr. Edward Nelson in North Arlington is a pediatric dentist that my children have gone to for years. He is excellent.

They're in Montgomery County, but Ensor, Johnson and Lewis has been great for my son with autism. He lay in my lap for his first few visits and Dr. Lewis and Dr. Ensor have both been very kind and patient and gentle.

My 7 year old has got to see a dentist. The last time we tried it was an epic disaster. Screaming, throwing toothbrushes, meltdown, panic, it was awful. He cannot stand people touching his face and the build up to going is a week's worth of panicking that affects everything else.

I'd like to find a dentist that will potentially use laughing gas or do some sedation to get his teeth checked out. Or a dentist who has patients with SN and can help manage this. Any recommendations? I'm at a loss.

I'm in horrible southern Maryland, but I will drive to PG County, Alexandria, Springfield etc. to find someone. I just don't want to go to Montgomery County, Tysons or into DC Proper unless I have to.

Thanks.
