Therapists can really vary in quality and you definitely should see one who really specializes in infertility. We saw one in the DC area who spent most of our sessions talking about herself and her own family. Saw another one who was really good though. Try a different therapist.

For me it personally didn’t help. I felt like I was just venting and frankly I didn’t see how reframing things was going to give me some peace. What did finally help, last fall after a failed IVF cycle was getting on Zoloft. The Zoloft helped through my subsequent miscarriage and back to back retrievals. I can’t believe how much we tolerate physically, emotionally and financially to have a baby- and it’s ok to get help in whatever form you need and works for you.

I'm really struggling with my infertility issues and I did try working with a therapist. I found it completely useless and it did not help at all. I feel really depressed that I cannot get pregnant. It's been 4 long years of infertility. Did therapy really help you come to an acceptance of your infertility? If so what specifically helped you? I cannot seem to accept and move forward.
