I don't find him to be reliable at all. He's not even a meteorologist. He just regurgitates model data and doesn't actually know how to interpret any of it. I frequently find that he hypes up storms that turn out to be nothing.


Uh that is like, the exact opposite of what he does. He tracks data for days/weeks before making big predictions and for Loudoun, where he lives, he is usually dead on.

Weather Channel app relies strictly on model data and takes very little else into account, hence the ridiculous 5-8 inch forecast. You need to follow forecasters who actually interpret the data and take other things into consideration such as pavement temperature and other factors. WXRisk is an asshole but he's pretty accurate. CWG is decent too.

I'm reading wildly different things ... my Weather Channel app says 5-8 inches, but on WAMU this morning the Capitol Weather Gang said there will be no accumulation.

What are you all hearing?
