My DS has the vivofit Jr. A phone is required to use it properly, but it can be an adult’s phone. He loves it and it reminds him to do chores (a feature we both like).

What age?
My 8YO kid has the vívofit jr. I got a refurbished one on amazon so it wasn’t expensive. (And actually it stopped working after 4 months and Garmin sent another one).
You can track chores and steps. Tells time and date. He likes it.

It will be novel for about 3 months and then it will go to live in the drawer with the unidentified cords and abandoned devices.

Here is the kid version. I guess you need a phone to sync steps etc

My kids want a fitbit and I know nothing.
Does the child have to have a phone to get good use out of it?
Do they make fitbits especially for kids, or are kids using the same ones as adults?
Does it do anything besides track your steps?
