My first was trained easily just after 2 but is still in pull ups for nighttime at age 5.

My second trained around 2.5 and night trained himself a few months later at 2.

My first has been really jealous that he still has to wear pull ups and his little brother doesn’t. He’s tried hard to stop but he just needs them still.

Both my kids were toilet trained at about 27 months. Daughter was fully trained then, even for naps and nighttime. Son wore pull-ups at night, but not for naps, until he was almost three.

I don't think it's as common as DCUM would have you believe for kids over five to still need pull-ups at night.

Started around 18 mos-2 years but not really pushing until they were ready.
DS was almost 3 for daytime, 6 for night time
DD was 20 mos for daytime; 2 for night time.

Same technique and strategy. Just different kids.

My kids were toilet trained by day at ages 16-18 months for (DD), 24 months (DS); and fully dry at night at 24-26 months (DD) and 3 years (DD).

My stepkids wered day trained at 3 (DD) and 4(DS). 11 year old stepson still occasionally wets the bed, and wore night diapers every night until he was 8-9.

There is no connection. My DD was potty trained using the 3 day method at 2 3/4. She is now 6 and wet the bed a couple of nights a week until about 6 mos ago. Now we are down to about once a month. She is a deep sleeper, we tried using an alarm, cutting out fluids after dinner, waking her up and taking her at midnight etc. Nothing worked long term. They cant control what they do when they are asleep.

My kids started toilet training at exactly 3 years old, were full trained about 2 days later, and none of them have ever worn pullups or had accidents at that age or later. I don't think it's common to wear a pullup at 5+. I also don't care what other kids are doing, eventually, they all get to where they need to be.

You cannot night potty train a child who isn't physically able to do it.

I am sorry I upset you by my post. I was simply satisfying my curiosity and from previous responders see that there really isn't a correlation.

My DD was the first to be potty trained in her preschool (at just under 2.5) I think she was the last to be out of night diapers, around 6.

Day training age and night dryness age are not correlated.

I trained both my girls at 2. First was night trained at the same time, my younger one is 4.5 and still in a diaper overnight. I don't think there's any correlation there. Thought it was pretty common knowledge that overnight development was across the board.

My boys potty trained and 3 and my girl right at 2. All night trained at the same time.

My DD was potty trained successfully right at 2. She wore Goodnights until two months after her 5th birthday.

I recently realized that wearing diapers at night is not that uncommon for kids over the age of 5 or even 8. If your kid still wears diapers, I am curious at what age you started potty training them. Wondering if there is a correlation with starting late and then having trouble dropping the night diaper.

Mine were fully potty trained by 18 months during the day and by 2.5 at night.
