Consider that it may be intentional on the BF's part - which makes it worse.

Whether we have sex or not, no shower after a workout is a deal breaker for me.

I had this problem with DH when we were dating (4 years in!). He had the similar belief that showers were more optional than required. I told him he stunk and he adamantly refused to consider the notion. I went away for a business trip and came home a week later, and while I was gone, he found that since gaining weight, that crease between his upper thigh and groin and developed sores. They looked very similar to bed sores, and he finally caught a whiff of it when he was trying to figure out what I was complaining about. Hygiene was solved after that.

So, even if he acts offended and like it’s impossible for his highness to stink, he’ll probably consider it later on. Whether he finds/does anything about that, depends on the man.

Is this a power play on his part? Respect yourself - if you don’t like it, don’t do it.

Tell him what you just wrote here. Why is this hard? Most people shower after working out. It's not like this is some bizarre request.

Guys know about sweating balls smelling. Just tell him the next time he asks for oral, that you really enjoy it but after he works out, it doesn't smell great down there. He won't be offended. He'll realize that a quick shower gets him more oral, he'll shower 4x/day.

My boyfriend and I are newly dating. He workouts every night after work, and sometimes doesn’t shower after. We have sex every time we are together, but the sweat and smell from his workouts are turning me off. I usually suggest shower sex on the days he doesn’t shower, but it’s slippery and not that good. He wants me to give him oral ( which I love doing), but the smells of sweat and pee is not enticing. I don’t want to hurt his feelings by telling him he smells bad, but I need sex, and don’t want to just deal with it. We live blocks away from each other, so we are together almost every night and most of the weekend. How do I gently tell him to shower after his workouts?
