Sit at the end or stand on the fence line. Never ever sit in the middle. Get there early enough that you can choose seats where you can see but that you know won't be popular or where you can control access (you know, you're all spread out or you can tighten up so someone else who is chill can sit by you). The screamers generally like to sit together because they can have loud conversations with each other about the game and the children.

Don’t be the first parent to sit down-then you are unable to choose who you are next to once the game starts. Wait to find space until just after game starts.

So, what's a chill parent to do? sit apart from all parents? that's kind of a drag too

Some games are so tough to take - I just hope the kids can't really hear some of what the the parents are screaming - I can relate to the "Go Larla!" or cheering for a score; but the constant yelling of instructions is tough to take. How do coaches feel about this? I recall one coach instructing parents that this was not allowed and it was sooo much better. And harassing the ref? Really??
