OP here - thanks for the feedback! I think I'm going to keep the appointment with Dr. Lalwani, then switch if I don't click with her for whatever reason. Glad to hear others have positive experiences with Dr. Humm.

Dr. Humm is great! You get the expertise of all the docs no matter what, but Dr. Humm is very willing to spend time explaining everything to you. I like Dr. F too, but Dr. Humm is my favorite.

Also at GW with DOR. I'm with Dr. Humm and highly recommend her.

I’m a patient of Dr. F and I understand why you’re thinking of waiting for him. But keep in mind that the REs collaborate on all decisions they make, and you don’t get your own provider for any procedures. So it’s kind of irrelevant. The only difference is who you have your very infrequent consultation appointments with.

Also, not to hijack your thread, but as I’ve battled infertility I’ve watched THREE of my providers at the GW clinic get hugely pregnant and then go on maternity leave. I’m so over it.

I have moderate DOR and am a patient of Dr. Comstock's at GWU. Except she's on extended leave and I need to schedule with a new RE. I know DCUM swears by Dr. Frankfurter, especially for DOR, but it will take a month longer to schedule with him, plus there are old reviews that say there can be a long wait for appointments even for existing patients. Anyone have current feedback on Dr. Lalwani at GWU? Should I hold out for Dr. Frankfurter (we'll probably only be able to do 1-2 cycles of IVF total) or move forward with Dr. Lalwani?
