So only one person mentioned uptight, and they were pretty mild in their response. They said their friend was more uptight than you and judgy.
Not one person said the things you are saying in your post. You are the one who leaped to profanity and insults.

It's my 13 year olds favorite show! He loves it. Saw it in DC and prefers it to Hamilton, which we saw in NY!!
Yes, it is inappropriate but my 13 year old has a great sense of humor and also gets why it's inappropriate in other contexts.
He does look much younger than 13 and the worst part was all the dirty looks I got from other adults.
He laughed for 2 hours straight.

My youngest saw it at 13. Thankfully, he is smart enough to understand the meaning behind the hillariously inappropriate lyrics. But if your kid can't do that, then definitely skip it. My children didn't see the show as encouragement to f babies.

Mormons, like Catholics, are generally able to poke fun at themselves.
I would be okay with about 2/3 of the show. The remaining 1/3 was too much for my tastes.

I took my daughter when she was 13 or 14. The only part that made me cover my face and wonder why I brought her was when they used long balloons as penises, and vaguely simulated sex. I’m positive penis jokes won’t offend teenage boys.

Here's a comparison: when Rent was in previews in the 1990s (in Boston), my parents took my brother and me. Our ages were roughly equivalent. I'm the older one.
Both of us loved it. Did my brother grasp all of the subtext and get all of the innuendos? Of course not.
Rent has sex and drugs and it's definitely not kiddie theater. But let's be honest; my brother had seen way worse stuff before this.
I feel like BoM is the same kind of thing.

The absurdity of religious stories, stereotypes and biases we hold, AIDs, baby rape, genital mutilation, adult rape, sexual fantasies, ego's, privilege, expectation, differently abled people, and some cursing all set to song and dance. My 16 yr old DD loved it! Along with Ave Q. (off Broadway, good Groupon deals in NYC) and Sausageparty (film). So, if you enjoy that type of humor (Southpark all the way) and your kids do too then the trip is a good plan. If tradition is something you prefer not to mess with and it feels unsettling to play with time honored topics then skip this event.

Or maybe you’ll think it’s funny and laugh all the way through, because it’s freaking hilarious. I’d totally take my 15yo. I have a 12yo who probably wouldn’t want to go, but I’d take her if she wanted. She’s more uptight like PP, which is fine, because she doesn’t judge people.

Yes!! They will love it. But be warned - there’s a reason they’ll love it. It’s realy funny but I’m an over the top, “inappropriate” kind of way. My 12 yo and 15 yo loved it and listen to the soundtrack.
