Lol re the nurse. Son went there a year. Left happy but crossing the river was too much of a pita. Busted arm playing. Normal boy activity. When I picked him up from the “trainer” he had a chunk of sod hanging off his head.

Consistent with the schools philosophy that boys will never become men accustomed to risk/reward decisions unless they have been exposed to risk.

Right, but aside from the first two, the complaints aren't true according to those who actually have kids at the school. And the school is all-in on liberal arts, they don't care about education degrees.

If you're concerned about teaching, community, and health and wellness-what is working for you about the school? I guess it's a matter of weighing those positives and seeing if they are greater than perceived negatives.

Love the school, not sure about professionalism. Teachers don’t participate in professional development or have degrees in elementary education or child development. Also not a lot of kids accepted for third grade that aren’t faculty or alumni related. Heard it’s very insular too. Is this true? And hate to resurrect old question from old post but they have a good point—what’s the deal with not having a school nurse? Chances of getting into third grade slim. Thoughts? Applying for grade 3.
