If you want a cheaper version of the UA cold gear that still works well, Uniqlo has (or they had a couple years ago) a line of cold-weather compression shirts that works great and is reasonably priced.

Agree with a vest! I got one at Dick’s two years ago that is Second Skin brand. Layers are the way to go, as she may warm up faster than you think. (I’m also a runner and my wardrobe is down to a science when it comes to temperature. I prefer a fleece headband type warmer to a full hat. I actually have a Buff brand wrap thing that can be used as a headband, neck warmer, hat, it has like 20+ ways to finagle it (there’s a video on how to do it). That’s a key item for me too.

+2 Nike Hyperwarm, UA ColdGear, or similar. Regular (cheap) fleece leggings aren't good for staying warm during athletic activities - they'll just hold onto sweat and make her colder. She needs sweat-wicking base layers designed for sports, and then can add regular sweatshirts/sweatpants on top if necessary for extra warmth.

+1 to Nike Hyperwarm or UA cold gear. Try on though because they both run tight, which is generally a good thing for sports unless they're too small.

For gloves, look into football gloves for cold weather, with a tacky palm if she's playing a stick sport.

Nike hyperwarm collection is quite good. You can find it at TJ Max and Marshall’s fairly cheap around this time of year.

Look into a nice vest...not a puffy one, but something runners would wear. That allows for a lot of arm movement, but will keep you super warm.
On days when it's cold but sunny and I know I'll warm up quickly once I get going (I'm a runner), I wear short sleeves and arm warmers (cute long socks that I've cut at the toe), and those are easy to remove after I've warmed up.

I have a DD who need some good gear for her outdoor practices. We have fleece leggings, but I'd like a warm top (not bulky) and gloves that will still allow her to hold her stick.

TIA!
