You store flour in the refrigerator. It extends the life span to I believe 2 years, and it also keeps weevils from growing in the flour.
You take two years to use up a bag of flour? I guess you don't bake a lot. I bake every so often and use at least 2-3 bags a year. Plus I use both all purpose and whole wheat so storing both in the fridge would take a lot of space.
