I think teaching is an innate skill so it doesn't matter in my (possibly unpopular) opinion

I don't think inclusion works well in most cases

Too many primary grade teachers can’t effectively teach kids to read using research- based approaches. They are too worried about reading instruction being interesting for the teacher than effective for the children.

That is one of the biggest factors in low achievement in school.

Direct instruction is better than experiential learning, since it's better taught.

There is no value in 'diversity' in school. School is for instruction and learning, not social experimentation.

The grade inflation in APS is ridiculous. (and probably other school systems too) The homework grade, the participation grade are stupid and creating a bunch of overconfident "A" students who aren't truly learning. College is gonna hurt.

Teaching is wonderful...except dealing with abusive and out of touch admin, and parents who either don’t parent at all or helicopter.

All you need is a cohort of smart motivated kids for your kid to do well in any school -- no need to pay to live in a < 5% FARMS school zone
