Thank you. How have you liked CCRM? What made you choose it over one of the others?


I've really liked them so far, although I'm just about to officially start treatment. I was the 8/28 10:34 poster and that post is a pretty thorough summary of my choice. Mainly, I wanted to do PGS and I wanted to have one doctor do all of my monitoring and procedures. I also have a lot of faith in their lab which I think matters a lot with DOR. I've found Dr. Payson to be a good balance between optimistic and realistic.


In your 8/28 post I think you mentioned that Dr. F favors (or recommended) shorter stim and fresh transfer... Do you know what his reasoning was for that?

I go to GWU. Agree that they're big Day 3 proponents and very wary of PGS and ERA. So just be aware of that. If you have your heart set on PGS and ERA you really have to advocate for it.

Thank you. Sorry that you're dealing with this as well. DOR most certainly sucks. Hoping that your egg on ice is your miracle baby! But if it's not, it sounds like you're at peace with donor eggs as well. It's good to know that he has followed your lead on your desires.

I have secondary infertility, mild DOR, and Dr. Frankfurter gave me less than 10% chance of success with IVF at age 40 so we decided not to pursue it. My AMH is .6, my FSH if 5, and my AFC is 10. He was very negative about my chances of success.

How many cycles have you gone through with him since he says he has run out of ideas?

Dr. Sacks is incredible. I didn’t have DOR but he came up with a very unique protocol for my situation that was successful. He’s kind, warm, and really good at what he does. I know CFA gets some less than stellar reviews on DCUM for billing issues but I had no problems and found the entire staff and all of the nurses to be wonderful. I felt like everyone working on our case was genuinely invested in us.


Thanks for the input. The negative reviews about CFA does have me a bit worried about their organization. Coming from a clinic where that was a big issue, I really don't want to go through that again. Glad to hear a different perspective.

Dr. Frankfurter at GW helped me with DOR. He's really nice, takes hard cases, and thinks out of the box. I did not try the other clinics. Unfortunately, another problem has come up and he is out of ideas for me. But I definitely think he is a wonderful doctor and a very caring person.

Just curious to hear about experience with these three clinics, especially for DOR. I've had a consult with CCRM and am scheduled to consult with the other two in the next week.

My initial thought on CCRM is that Dr. Payson is a good doctor and is open to tailor protocols to the individual. He had gone through my file before the appointment. He is willing to work with people with DOR but implied that he would probably encourage moving on to donor eggs if unsuccessful after a few tries. The clinic seems very well run. They also have a great lab.

If you chose between any of these clinics, what made you choose one over the other? What was your experience? Any success?
