It appears the offer is good until 10/31. So not too late to sign up!

I am sorry as I knew about it but didn’t think to publicize it. But if it is any consolation, I forgot to sign up for it!

OP here, I just saw the TV ad for it yesterday for the first time and noticed that the offer was expiring at midnight. I was just surprised at not seeing earlier or someone else posting it here on this site. Apparently the 1% deal has been out for awhile but I never saw it until yesterday. I was just a little surprised at not seeing anyone here mention it.

+2 Why mention it now? If you really care about "how many" took advantage of it, ask Ally Bank.

+3. What the heck? I would have transfered 100k too

+4. Worst thread ever.

+5. Seriously. You could have let people know about it beforehand, if you were surprised no one else wrote about it. It wouldn't have hurt you, you would have still gotten the money, and helped someone else as well.

I knew about it and put off signing up for it. Of course, now that I'm ready to sign up the promo has expired.

You didn't have to open a new account, deposits into an existing account qualified as well.

Didn't see it, but it would have been a nice deal with their current one-year CD rates. It's not much more than our current money market account pays, but probably would have given it a good look.

Tonight was the last night of Ally Banks 1% bonus offer. If you opened a new account they would credit you 1% of your deposited amount. I had $100,000. sitting in a Money Market account somewhere else so I transferred it to Ally for an instant $1,000. bonus. Best deal ever.

Sort of surprised I didn’t see any mention of it here earlier.
