Do you want to give the Republicans more assured control over the House? Do you want to continue to support national-level Republican politics?

If not, don't vote for Hogan.

MD current gerrymandering is so bad it's the subject of multiple federal lawsuits. One district goes from Montgomery Mall in Bethesda all the way to near Cumberland -- it would take more than 3 hours to drive that. The Dems redistricted it that way to get out the one Republican rep who is based in the panhandle (and it worked), but it's hardly fair to Marylanders in the panhandle.

Having said that, Jealous is untested. No clue what he is capable of.

Bottom line: hogan will win reelection. The Dems realized that, so they didn't bother investing in a viable opponent.

I don't think so. MoCo Exec Leggett has a great relationship with Hogan and it's why it took him forever to endorse Jealous and he's not actively campaigning for him.

Hogan pushed hard to get the Purple Line, which benefits mainly MoCo (and a bit of PG). Meanwhile he nixed the Red Line extension in Baltimore. That all looks pro MoCo to me.

First, the beltway does need widening. Second, the plan is in such early stages that there's no details on what land will be affected. What specific historic site are you referring to?

Third, as we saw with the ICC and the Purple Line, environmentalists will file lawsuit after lawsuit, delaying any such project by years, so there will be a thorough, court-vetted analysis of the project.

This is not on him. At least for MCPS, the decline started many years ago under Dem watch.

This, but starting school later for beach week is dumb and I refuse to go to the beach because of it.

It needs to be widened, traffic is horrendous. Also supports the Purple Line which will help too. Every project ruins something, but if our population grows, we can't make do with the same old roads.

Would you prefer his Democratic predecessor, Martin O’Malley? He was running for President his second day in the Governor’s office. O’’Malley’s only noteworthy moment in the campaign was being referred to as “an unidentified man” after participating in a televised debate.

I’m a Democrat, but I think he’s been a great governor. I want to my party. Tell me why I should vote him out.
