This is kinda of meaningless - it all depends on her master number. If it's good she can go anywhere she wishes; if it's bad even these are unlikely
There are no true safety schools that are any better than Noyes anymore, though.

I would want him to continue till 5th grade but am also open to moving to MD/VA for later grades. It depends on what school he gets in.

I would want him to continue till 5th grade but am also open to move to MD/VA for later grades. It depends on what school he gets in.

Look at the waitlist data from last year. Determine the schools that had 100+ on waitlist for PK3. Those are going to be the schools most here will recommend. Then filter by preferred commute, philosophy/language, score of higher grades, middle school paths, then add your IB in somewhere (lower on list of its not one that you’re crazy about, and 1-2 more safeties (schools that had less than 20 on first waitlist data).

Determine first if your in-boundary school offers guaranteed admission for in-boundary preschoolers. And whether you would be willing to attend that school at all. Your list will follow from there.

Im new in DC and currently live in NE. My son would start PK3 in fall 2019. As the lottery season is close, I am getting a little anxious. Do you have a list of schools you would recommend? I don't have a preference about the location. Also, what to look for a school when making a choice? I don't think you get to know much about the school during the school tours. Thanks SM
