No symptoms following my successful IUI until I got nauseous at about 7 weeks. Don't worry about exertion or cleaning supplies. I had very little hope of IUI working and I exerted myself a lot during my TWW on my successful cycle (spinning, etc., the only thing that de-stressed me from the fertility process). Like pp said, very little can harm you environmentally. I asked my doc about everything and her response was always "no, that's no concern at all".

My successful IUI cycle was the only one where I didn’t think I had any symptoms. Don’t worry about doing or not doing anything this early even if you are pregnant. Aside from illicit drugs and binge drinking, you’re good. I had an IUI on Dec 20 last year, and thought it was our last futile attempt before moving to IVF. I had very little hope so I drank and ate whatever I wanted over the holidays and found out I was pregnant on Jan 2. Throughout my entire pregnancy I worried about harmful exposure (paint, the marijuana smell from our neighbors, etc). I wish I hadn’t agonized, there are very few things that can cause an issue.

I've had 4 IUIs. I've felt bloated, nausea, twinge of cramping, full breasts. All were negative. Until you are getting past 10 days post IUI you are probably feeling normal hormone symptoms for the second phase of your cycle, maybe altered a bit by the meds and trigger shot. Good luck, it's really hard to not speculate!

I had diarrhea about 1 week after the procedure and I somehow knew it was implantation. It was my second IUI and nothing of this kind happens back then.

Did you have any trigger shot of any kind? That can make your ovaries swell up and feel bloated.

But yea, it's early days to be feeling anything. Welcome to the 2 week window of madness. It can be a long ride if you put your life on hold for 2 weeks every month you roll the dice ...

You wouldn't have any pregnancy symptoms yet. The couple of days after my IUI I remember having some cramping, but that was it.

I do remember feeling pregnant pretty quickly though - I decided to take a home pregnancy test 11 days after my IUI because I had this weird emotional outburst that made no sense. The test was positive. That night I felt some nausea that went away until a few weeks later when the morning sickness kicked in at full force.

Hello.

I just had my first natural cycle IUI yesterday (we are a very lucky lesbian couple and all my numbers look good). For those of you who had successful IUIs, when did you start feeling something, anything? I am surprised to find that something feels weird in there. To be more precise, I feel kind of gassy and full with a slight side of nausea. My wife always teases that I am extremely in tune with my body but I sort of feel like maybe my mind is just playing tricks on me - I was not expecting this!
Am I just imagining that I feel something?

Also, regardless of if this is actually something - did any of you do things differently between the IUI and pregnancy test 2 weeks later? We were going to do a big house clean this weekend but my wife is scared that I shouldn't really exert myself/expose myself to cleaning supplies.

Let the paranoia begin

Thank you all!
