OP, I’m confused about your snarky statement about BF on a clearly formula question.

Here’s the real answer: feed the formula that your child likes, and will drink. Use the bottles that are the same. All should fit your budget. There’s a lot of pressure to use “European” formula here, but there isn’t a lot regulating transport or sales, and TBH, a lot of these formulas are no more than grocery store brands there.

Formula is highly regulated. Bottles are purely preference.

Per my pediatrician, Kirkland is actually made by Similac so if your kid likes Similac, it's worth trying Kirkland. As a bonus, most Costcos turn over their formua super fast so it's usually extremely "fresh."

We used Hipp and Comotomo bottles.

My baby ate absolutely everything. We went through all our formula samples tubs with no issue. I bought what was cheapest.

Aldi (Little Journey) with Dr. Brown’s bottles. I figured that all formula is highly regulated and it was the cheapest. He loved it so no issues there.

We actually used the Nestle Good Start, because it had a more digestible protein. We used Dr. Brown's bottles - plastic for the first (born before the BPA craziness - also before we used the Good Start, so he was plain old Similac) and glass / non-BPA for the second two.

Lol...Target. It's all so regulated I'm not sure how much of a difference there is between brands.

As for bottles, the cheapest your baby will take. My son had issues with bottles but was largely breastfed. My daughter is also breastfed but we were determined to avoid bottle rejection and did so successfully with the munchkin latch bottles. But for a fully bottle fed baby, I think bottle rejection is less likely.

Allimentum. It was the only brand my kid could keep down. It smelled gross and tasted nasty to me. Oh, and we had to order it through pharmacy back when my son was a baby. He had severe Gerd and a milk protein allergy. Add to that he could not latch so breast-feeding was out anyway. The best bottle is the one where he could drink from. We started out with a specialized Haberman nipple. He slowly graduated to off the shelf items from places like target and bye-bye baby.

My kid liked Similac and Walmart. We tried many kids. The "best" one is the one your kid will drink.

HIPP. Dr Brown’s glass bottles.

HIPP tasted the best and didn’t stink.

This is not your time to shine stating benefits of breastfeeding... I get that.

I am curious as a FTM if the situation occurs, what brand of formula worked best for your baby & why.
