Does anyone know if the 20 percent off when opening an Ulta credit card can be applied to this Dyson? I looked on the website but I couldn’t find any info on restrictions.

I ordered the Airwrap and it’s coming on Friday, to my dismay because I’ll be out of town and can’t wait to try it. I shower, blow dry then straighten my hair and feel like it’s very much thinned out and unhealthy. Just had a color, cut and treatment done to it so I’m hopeful this will be a game changer for me! I’m really hoping the flat brush will give my hair a nice look without the flatiron. I’ll report back!

I am a Dyson convert and just wanted to explain why, for me, a regular dryer with a low heat setting will not work. I have thick and difficult to manage hair that loves any opportunity to frizz. Using the low heat setting on a regular dryer is a first class ticket to a frizz fest (plus it would take FOREVER to dry). The Dyson is low heat, but super high powered so it is able to dry quickly without as much heat. Taking away the heat, without adding power, is counterproductive for me so putting a $20 dryer on low heat just doesn't work. Nor does a $100, $150 or $200 (tried those too).

The Revlon One Step is horrible for thick hair - for reasons noted by PP.

On to the topic, I haven't tried the Airwrap but am very interested. However, it has been less than a year since I got the Dyson dryer so probably not happening for me for a while.

I'm not normally one for pricey items or brand names, etc. But in the case of hair products, especially where heat and electricity are concerned, you get what you pay for. A $20 item is not going to perform as well as a $100 or $500 item. You know how to get beautiful looking hair? By not damaging it.

Can we please not turn this into another thread about that revlon dryer? Please??

I would love to hear from someone who has used the Airwrap on stubbornly straight, fine-textured, thick hair. Birthday and Christmas are just around the corner!

I use the Revlon too - a couple times a week. To cut down on heat damage I let my hair dry for 15-20 mins which allows me to dry and style in a lot less time.

I actually need a new dryer and this has one in the kit. I’m going to have to save up, but I think I will get it, especially as I plan on chopping a few inches and will HAVE to, you know, do something with my hair.

I have the regular Dyson blow-dryer. The no heat damage is for real. I've been blow-drying my hair for over a decade. I'd always get told my hair was too dry. Not since I switched to the Dyson. I get told how healthy my hair is. I've also tried every hair and conditioner combo under the sun. So I know it's not that I started on some magical combo. It's the blow-dryer. I entertained the air-wrap but I cannot justify the price in my head, not since I already own the blow-dryer and my finances aren't great. But if money weren't an issue, I'd totally buy it.
