How long ago was the crew thing? Very recent?

Mine 8th grader is in between. Tonight he is doing nothing ---playing video games and hanging out.

Tomorrow he has a friend coming over to hang out - probably also play video games. He is just beginning to think of the ideas of having something to do.

He also likes to sometimes have friends sleep over so they can play even more video games....

Soccer three or four nights a week.
Homework on the others.

Thank you. So he’s not hanging out with friends a lot on weekend evenings? Mine isn’t yet.

PP you responded to. Well, he’s extremely introverted.

They are playing basketball in the driveway or roller hockey in the street, and then eating someone out of house and home, before watching movies or playing video games and then having a sleepover.

At least, that is what my son and his friends are doing.

He couldn't wait to get home from sports practice to play some video game he preordered months ago. It came out today. He also tried to fake sick this morning. Um, no way.

Sometimes plans like birthday parties or movies with friends but usually home playing fortnite with friends or at sports practice. There is a small group in the grade who go to coed parties, but not many.

Thanks for your input.

I’m trying to figure out what’s typical without asking my friends and my son’s friends’ parents. So maybe someone else will help me out.
