Aren't clothes all wrinkly and musty if you had them in trash bags? Why are they in trash bags in the closet? Why not just fold them and put them on the shelf?
Op here.
I have a lot of cotton sundresses, skirts and linen pants. I'm not wearing those after the temps drop and I don't have a large enough closet to keep fall/winter and spring/summer at the same time. As for the trash bags, the clothes are in space bags that I have compiled into 2 large trash bags in the back of the closet. They smell fine when I get them out because I usually launder before putting them in the bags. Again, not enough space to keep all these clothes on the shelf.
