Kids bring PJs, maybe sleeping bags if they have them, they have dinner, a little dessert and watch a movie.
Perfect!

Serve pancakes for dinner

NP. I love these ideas.

Sleep under is confusing. Just call it a pajama party. But I think it's a great idea.

Have it end at 9, not 10.

I was thinking of hosting a sleep under party and have Parents pick up around 9-10 or DH can just drive everyone home then. Maybe have the party 5-9 - play, dinner, movie or video games.

You didn't mention ages.

Did a sleep under ( and yes that’s what we called it ) when DD was 8. We did 5-9.

How old are the kids? My 7 yo DD would love a sleep under. My 11 year old DS would call it a party. It’s a great idea. My kids get cranky the next day and DS stopped wanting to go to sleepovers about a year ago when he realized he never slept and was exhausted the next day or two. He prefers to sleep in his own bed and would like to hang out and come home at 10. DD still loves sleepovers but also never sleeps and is so cranky the next day. I’m cranky from not sleeping when they are here.

I have 2 boys turning 8 and 10. Their birthdays are a day apart. Considering a sleep under for 8yo.

Love both going to or hosting a sleep under (or whatever you'd like to call it). All the fun without the crankiness. My daughter is now 9 and she still loves them, too.

We call them no-sleepover, pretend sleepover, or pajama parties. These are the best.... movie, pizza , tie dye, pillow fights, but the kids go home before bedtime.

Love it.

When I was little we weren't allowed to go to sleepovers (for the reasons you mentioned) and my parents always picked us up around 10pm. We had all the fun, without missing a night of sleep.
