14:17 here - Neupogen was 500-550/vial and your dosage is weight based. I used roughly 8 vials for my successful pregnancies, but you have to keep in mind they have a 1.0ml vial and a 1.6ml vial. Once I found a cheaper source (DC2&3) - not through a pharmacy FYI I paid significantly less for the Neupogen, but I felt comfortable doing that because I had something to compare the vials to.

We paid the fees but did not need ART to get pregnant. I never tried to get them reimbursed I just figured it was the price I had to pay to be his patient. I tried to appeal the Neupogen for DC2 with the proof from DC1 that it worked and I needed it but it was denied. I didn't try to appeal again for DC3. I put it all (lab fees, travel, meds including lipids, lovenox, prednisone, etc) on a no interest credit card and paid it down. I think by the time each kid was 18 months old I had it paid off. It's been a few years but they were 10-12k or so each with all the fees and meds. I'm not complaining I would not have my Braverman babies without him and Dr. H!

My wife worked with Braverman. We have OON benefits, but none covered the big fees (new patient registration, IVF management [immune protocol - we were at Cornell for IVF], and pregnancy management). If you have OON benefits, they will take whatever insurance pays for office visits, ultrasound, etc. but don’t charge you if there is a remaining balance after insurance payments.

All told we paid about 15k plus just for his services. I’ve appealed the denied claims for the aforementioned services with no luck. A few women (like literally two or three) in our online support group have had luck with coverage for these fees, but 95% of us just come OOP for it. Luckily my insurance covered IVF - otherwise we couldn’t have afforded him. We do have a 9 month old rainbow baby to show for it all, so despite the cost, I would do it all over again to get where we are now.

Neupogen is approximately $3k/cycle?

OP: Yes, I've read the finance info, but even though it says that he participates as an out-of-network provider with my insurance company it's not clear to me whether that means insurance will actually cover any of what he does.

I'm not sure if he was considered in network or not, but my insurance participated in the safeguard program with Reprosource which guaranteed I would not pay more than a set amount for my blood panel to be drawn. That would be one thing that is easy to call Reprosource and check. Of course that did not account for the cost of the phlebotomist to come to my house and do the draw and all the prep work he needed to do for the vials of blood to be shipped.

My Neupogen was all OOP and off label so that was a big expense and the initial patient fee was OOP. Everything else was covered but I went to see him and was able to write off those travel expenses one year because I qualified for that tax deduction.

I'm sure by now you've read the finance and faq page on his website. They have a list somewhere, right?

I see from a search that there are a good number of Dr. Braverman's patients here. Would any of you who have out of network insurance coverage share how much of his fees were actually covered?
