We are a heterosexual couple and the doctor is suggesting that although my husbands sperm looks normal, dna frag, sperm analysis, etc. His sperm is causing 40% frangmentation inn perfect eggs.

Yes, I work for MCPS and my wife and I did this. Before the MD IVF mandate, we had to pay out of pocket because of the wording in Carefirst's policy said you can only use the sperm of your spouse (obviously impossible if you're a married lesbian couple - which we are).
We did have to go through 6 IUIs (using donor sperm) before we moved to IVF with donor sperm.
I'm not sure what the situation is if you're single, though. I would think the mandate would cover you? I would advise calling Carefirst to ask them.

Has anyone done this with CareFirst?
