You could do a scavenger hunt at a public place.

My tween would still love the rock wall or sandy springs partay, even though she’s done them. She’s over ice skating.

My daughter did a dinner with a few friends at Uncle Julio's so that they could do the chocolate piñata for dessert. It was a huge hit and very reasonable as we were only paying for the dinner.

We took daughter and small group of friends to Masa hibachi for lunch. Kind of like dinner and a show. Lunch price is very reasonable. Kids loved it.

I usually do some kind of theme party or scavenger hunt out of my house. I can imagine planning out of an apt is a challenge!

NP here trying to plan a party for this age as well, although $30 is too steep for us! DD wants to invite 15 - we have a large house, but the shear number makes me anxious.

When my friend turned 13 her parents took her out to dinner with 3 friends (including me) and sat at a separate table. It was such fun to have our own table!

Small house = take 4ish girls out to dinner and a movie, buy popcorn and whatever, drive them home

My daughter went to a fun party one year where is the birthday girl‘s mom drove to a few friends’ houses pretty early on a Saturday morning (this had been prearranged with the parents) and woke each girl up and put them in her car in thei pajamas for a surprise party. She drove all of them to her house where they went in and woke her birthday girl daughter up and all of them went in their pajamas out to breakfast. It was absolutely adorable because it was so unusual and the girls had blast for next to no money just the cost of breakfast!

Yes, DD interested in that, but our place is really too small on a number of levels (condo).

We might go see a movie, but hard to time what would be released then and good for kids.

My tween wanted simple. 4-5 girls camped out in the living room. Did nails and facials. Watched movies and chattered away at an indiscernible rate. Favors were a basket with hair towel wraps, nail file, nail stickers and polish.

We’ve looked at Escape Rooms (which everyone did last year and i think people are tired of), trampoline park, ice skating, rock climbing but nothing seems right — partly b/c they have all done these as little kids and want something more ‘grown up’ — like trapeze school looks cool, but very very expensive. Same with GoApe, Sandy Spring,

What do this age like? We live in a condo, so a home party is not in cards — that would be our preference.

Trying to keep budget reasonable, like $30/head.

Any mystery dinner type places for kids? Or other kind of creative style party theme. Or high adventure with out high cost?
