Is Rory Hyland no longer the head lacrosse coach? Rumor or fact?

Not sure about the US, but the boys in the LS seem to vary. Maybe because no cuts yet, the team seems to be boys who hang out with different social groups (although I haven’t spent a lot of time on this issue, just responding with my one child sample size).

The boys are also very aware that Coach Hyland went to Brown and they think playing lax for an Ivy is very cool.

PP here and DS is not a Landon student. The behavior of St A's team has nothing to do with which school is the opponent.

The whole concept of the "lax bro" is stupid. Are there annoying bro-ish kids that play lacrosse? Sure. Are there annoying kids for virtually all the higher profile team sports (football, basketball, baseball) at these schools? Sure. There is nothing about playing lacrosse that is going to make your son a stereotype if he isn't that way already. The same way that running cross-country isn't going to make your kid a nerd, playing football isn't going to make you a meathead, and playing baseball isn't going to make you love chewing tobacco and country music.

Have heard of issues with middle school “lax bro” culture. We are new to the school but my son is in the Upper School. He’s a good player, maybe even considered talented, but this whole lax bro culture I’ve heard about generally, and specifically at other all boys area schools, concerns me. What’s the lacrosse culture like at St. Albans?
