My DH majored in econ. He works in IT consulting.

She went back to school a few years later to become a nurse.

My Econ major DC works in consulting. Highly paid but hard work. My Econ major DH works in economic policy.

I’m an Econ major and ended up going to medical school. Not common in my experience though - most of my friends went into finance or consulting.

Management consulting, investment banking.

Economic consulting, think tank jobs, etc.

My brother and sister both majored in Econ. My brother became a real estate attorney. My sister worked for a bank for a while, then ended up getting an MBA at Columbia and works for a consulting group. She is only 29 now, so this wasn’t too long ago.
