Stop telling people of your plan. If I were you, I wouldn't tell anyone I'm pregnant until after 3 months.

I waited until I was a little over 4 months--Mom of second child at 41

That’s true. People can spoil everything.

Did you adopt? How long was the process?

It'll happen! I'll keep mine crossed for you too!

Why encourage this? Yes, i hope that it does, but it's very, very unlikely at 46 to carry a healthy baby to term.

It can happen, but is statistically unlikely. A friend was pregnant at 46 and 48 and had placenta previa in both cases, lost both at around 4 months. Very sad.

But, PP, I do hope you are one of the outliers!

Don't feel discouraged OP. It will happen. Just relax and try not to stress. And of Course, have tons of sex.

Yup, not using any interventions, but I'm 44, was pregnant at 41 (my son) and 43 (miscarriage). I"m not banking on it but I would be thrilled if it happened.

I had my kids at 40 and 42, no issues conceiving. But my mother and sister also had kids late, which makes me think there’s a genetic component to it. Hey

If it doesn't happen naturally before menopause then we will have an only child.

OP here. That’s what we said. We will try naturally and if it happens it happens, if not, not. I feel like this way it’s less stressful for us than going through treatments. We got pregnant on the first try with our first one too.

Anyone else 40+ years old and trying to conceive too? I told my family I would like to have another child and they all couldn’t stop themselves from telling me how crazy it is. I’m feeling very discouraged.
