This isn't that unusual, other than her being brazen about it. Haven't you seen that episode of Seinfeld, where George get women interested in him by showing them a picture of his "girlfriend" (a model that he cut out of a magazine)? If a woman knows that other women are interested in a man, it makes him more attractive.

Maybe you should try dating outside your immediate social circle. When you’re both meeting the same people, it’s not terribly surprising you’re attracted to the same people.
