I’m so sorry OP. I had a cycle with no blasts and then a cycle with 4 but all were abnormal. I moved in to just transferring Day 3 embryos. Still hoping for a baby someday.

So sorry. I know it sucks. I had 2 cycles without blasts. Since I had so few generally I decided not to do PGS. I switched up the protocol significantly and got better results. I think supplements helped too. I did end up going with DE though - took too long to find a protocol that was good for me so I was that much older and really didn’t want to wait anymore. I hope u have better luck.

Heartbreaking. I am so sorry. I had a cycle where all of my blasts were PGS abnormal -- it was crushing.

Any update, OP? I have a perfect, adorable six-month-old from a "hmm, weird, I never would've picked that one to implant because it doesn't look great but it PGS-tested normal so let's give it a try" six-day blast, so I wouldn't let it going to six days faze you at all. Fingers crossed for good results for you!

Both my kids are from day 6 blasts. In fact DS was THE worst looking embryo in the batch, but we PGS tested and he is a picture perfect toddler now.

I have a 2yo from a day 6 blast and am pregnant with another day 6.

PP is right. Generally, a day 5 blast has a better shot than a day 6, but day 6s and even sometimes a day 7 can work out. The 5 cell isn’t likely to make it, though. I hope it works out!

I really wish they wouldn’t give so much detailed info. It’s a total rollercoaster and doesn’t mean much at the end of th day. All 5 could look like fabulous blasts on day 5 and they could not implant. Or you could end up with only one ugly day 6 that could work. It’s hard, I know, but after going through this a few times I have learned to try not to get too happy or too upset at the day to day updates.

We are doing IVF and my nurse called up and told us today on day out of the 5 embryos - One is compacting, other two are cavitating and should reach blastocyst on day 6 or later on today and the fourth one is stuck on 5 cells.

What should I make of this, should I start to panic or wait. I am not sure what it means but doesn't look good.
