OP, look at the layout of the two rooms and choose the one that can be most easily divided in two for the girls. Put a room divider of some kind (I like the big IKEA kallax shelves since it gives added storage) between them, and if needed get a wardrobe to provide additional separate closet space.

Ask DDs if they want privacy pop tents. They’ve been put to good use in my house.

Where did you go to school that you didn't learn to put a space (or two) after a punctuation mark? I think you have bigger problems than the space issue at your house.

When my DS college orientation, the president of the university asked the parents how many of our children had their own room. Most parents raised their hands. THIS is why students have such a difficult time adjusting to college roommates. Your older DD will be fine. It's a rite of passage to dislike your younger sibling.

How is this a question? I'd probably give DD's the master, take the next larger room for me and son gets the smallest room. Put up curtains or some kind of wall divider for the girls. Done.. Why didn't you pick a different house if it was going to be an issue?

She'll have to get over it. You could use a screen, curtain or other room divider to give each a sense of privacy but it will tend to make the room feel smaller.

The girls are together. Since there's two of them, they get to choose which room.

DD1 DD2 and DS in a 3 Bedroom house.Were renting until we can find a perfect home to buy so this is a temporary but I want them to still have their own space.DD1 is 11 DD2 is 9 and DS is 13.They have not had to share a room before.Guest room 1 is 16x12 ft and has a built in bookshelf.Guest room 2 is 12x17 and has its own entry to the guest bath as but a very small closet.There is no office but there is a formal dining space.Who goes where and tips.
