Huge oversupply here too. Not 70oz though. I pump an extra 15-20 a day. I've seen women sell it on Facebook but most donate it to other moms on Facebook. They ask for the cost of the bags. My baby enjoys the milk because he never had to work for it and there's always a glut.

I would try to decrease your supply. What happens when you're running errands all day and can't pump? I leak everywhere.

Kindly, you don’t know what you are talking about. Some of us do have true oversupply and never have a problem “keeping up” with our babies’ needs. You hear about all the struggles women encounter breastfeeding, but some of us really have an easy time of it and maintain excellent supplies. In hunter gatherer society, I would have been the wet nurse of our tribe who helped feed your babies, lady.

+1. 70oz poster here. I pumped 70oz and nursed all day and night. My “oversupply” lasted 15 months. I stopped breastfeeding at 13 months. My daughter is 3...I still had breast milk that would leak from my breast until she was 2. You can sell it. I did not. I just put it in the freezer since the NICU wouldnt take it. If I have an oversupply this time I will look for other donation centers.

Get a deep freezer for your garage or basement and store milk there. You can get one on Facebook marketplace for like $25. And your oversupply won’t last forever so in eight months when you can’t keep up with baby’s demand then you’ll have plenty of milk.

I donated a lot (to other moms) via Facebook groups set up specifically for that. They shouldn't be hard to find if you search on there

I tried to donate mine to the NICU and they wouldn’t take it. I had an overproduction and could produce 70 oz in five days and nurse my baby. It was crazy.

A friend bought breast milk because she underproduced. I think it was $10 an oz.

Sdonate! Start by going to the website human milk banks of America. Great website that will answer most of your questions and tell you where you can donate. With one baby I donated to Colorado, with my second I donated to Ohio and they processed it and shipped it back to the state I lived in at the time as they did not have a milk bank at the time
A great milk bank will provide you with what you need as well as paying for your blood work

Most sites like Ebay, CL, etsy won't let you sell bodily fluid which includes breastmilk.

OP- I too overproduced for all my kids. I felt like I could feed every an army. I looked into selling it, but only came across websites that had super strict guidelines (understandable) in terms of wanting all my medical history, doctor recommendation, I had to pay for dry ice and shipping, etc...it wasn't worth it to me.

I kept searching and found a website with men who liked that stuff. Felt perverted. Couldn't bring myself to do that course.

I do agree that it is weird to sell it, especially on Graigslist. I will look into donation options by calling the hospital and OB. I am super healthy and the milk is good so someone else can definitely benefit from it. I think we should definitely have better options for under producing moms, I was surprised to hear the hospital where I delivered didn't have a breastmilk bank.

It’s not illegal. You can try to sell on craigslist (shady) but I would post on moms groups—make an anonymous/fake account though because it will be controversial.

um no you can't sell it... that sounds illegal and weird. You can donate to NICUs/hospitals. There are also local breastfeeding groups on facebook where you can donate to underproducing moms. But please don't try to sell it.

I just had my second baby 4 weeks ago and seem to be overproducing breast milk. I basically make at least twice as much as I need. I have been freezing it it in medela baggies but now my freezer is starting to overflow and I wonder if I will ever even need to use it. What are my options for selling/donating it? Is it even legal to sell it??
