It is weird to put a clock on it. If you aren't satisfied with what is happening, it doesn't matter if it is 5 minutes or 3 hours.
What is it that you aren't getting out of it that you need? Talk to your husband about that.
And please, never time it again.

Personally the quicker the better for me...I HATE long sex sessions and I'm female. But, I am pretty quick so there is that. 20-25...long!!! Do you have kids yet? I think all the physical touching you get from children seriously impacts my need for physical touching. A little and I'm good. And note...I do still like it...just not that much!

20-25 minutes is above average.

I've never actually timed it but 20-25 seems right. Foreplay is most of it because that's what I enjoy most. PIV only lasts about 4-5 min which is fine by me as much longer then that begins to hurt. I do my best to get my DH to be ready to fire and he doesn't seem to complain.

Once in a while we are super quick and both get off in like 15 minutes, we usually spend around 45 to an hour.

As always, "it depends". On the surface, I say it's plenty. Heck, 5-10 mins can be "plenty" depending on satisfaction level. Do you get off? If not, perhaps have him devote a little more time to that before he gets off.
Before kids, our sessions used to last an hour (start to finish) but it involved a LOT of kissing/stroking/etc before PIV. Now? Probably 5-10 mins lol b/c of exhaustion, late in night, etc.

Are you unsatisfied, or do you just have an arbitrary number in your head of how long it should be?

Eh, that sounds like a good amount of time to me, but we have two small kids and are perpetually exhausted. Pre-kids we spent a lot longer when we were less tired and had lots of free time.

Please weigh in - I've been feeling that the time we spend making love is too quick and my DH disagrees saying it seems just right to him. So, without telling him I set my IPhone timer on twice and both times it was about 20-25 minutes. This is from when we first lock lips until we are done. I don't expect it should last an hour but the time just seems to fly by. I do know that time flies when you are having a good time!
