Subject: Songs that move you
Wake Me Up When September Ends.
My mom passed away unexpectedly on 8/30 after two weeks of surgery gone terribly wrong.
This song was playing on just about every station all the time that September due to Hurricane Katrina.
I remember driving on the beltway just sobbing all the way from Bethesda to the mixing bowl in VA the first time I heard that song after her funeral.
13 years later, I still tear up anytime I hear it play.
