Did you leave them sitting in the hot water they were cooked in? If so they’re probably way over cooked and stinky.

We have dyed Easter egg in baskets that stay out for weeks - since I was a kid. Never had an issue.

No, they are not fine. Throw them out! It’s not safe to eat any egg products that have been left out longer than two hours. Hard boiled eggs aren’t any different. You can double check this information on the FDA food safety website

I did this last week. Ate the eggs, fed them to my kids, all was fine.

This may be true but it isn't necessarily safe. (At least in the U.S.)

Correct... now, if you cross the border (north or south, doesn't really matter), then your eggs are fine.
Also, if you happen to take your eggs into an embassy of another country, that counts.
If you are an in DC, this would be the safest, easist option.

Even if your house is not air-conditioned, it's still perfectly fine.

People used to take boiled eggs to work and on long journeys back in the olden days. They'll be fine!

They’re fine. They’ve been pasteurized and sealed.

I hard-boiled them last night, then left them in the pot sitting in water. Accidentally left them out overnight.

Are they still okay to eat? Don’t think any shells cracked and our house is relatively cool. Guess I could open them up and smell?
