If you don't mind a follow up question: is it better to contact the HR/recruiter, or directly contact the person who would be the department head? Is THAT kosher or not really done? The GC (this is a legal position) shared the posting, and the posting specifically says it involves working closely with that person. Would reaching out directly be to my advantage, or is that discouraged?
