Wasn't there a whole other post about a mom who couldn't get her DD to the doctor (I don't think that DD lived with mom, but was also a very young adult). This sounds very familiar.

You sound insane. Really, you called the police because your daughter didn’t go to the doc? you confronted a man for vomiting? You know people can’t control when they puke all the time. Your DD seems to have issues but the apple didn’t fall far from the tree here.

She has an eating disorder. One of my children is a recovering anorexic/bulimic. Your daughter is trying to cover it up. She needs a therapist asap. My daughter's kidneys and liver were already affected by the time we figured out she was bulimic. This is life threatening, OP.

OP here. OK, if she does have an eating disorder, how can I make her seek treatment? Both her and my other DD refuse to talk and listen to us.

Op, your daughter told you she likes vomiting and she eats certain things that make her vomit. That is bulimia Does the doctor have this information?

Just focus on loving your daughter OP. Nothing you are doing is helping her.

She's an adult. Leave her alone. Sounds more like bulimia. She has to have control over something.

DD turned 18 recently. She has been throwing up for a couple of weeks every time she ate. DH was supposed to get a referral to a GI but didn't because he didn't want DD to endure an endoscopy. Weeks went by and she kept throwing up. I think it's because she eats all these fatty foods with lots of oils. I told her to stop eating these foods and eat broth as I make the best broth. She refuses to listen. I said lets go to the emergency room and she doesn't want to. The hospital is 2 blocks from us. I got mad that she wasn't listening to me and called 911. It took 4 hours for the police to come. They told me to leave her alone. That night we were all silent. DD used parental controls to block my favorite channels and gave me the silent treatment. It took some time to convince her to unblock my channels. DD then didn't want to go to ped to get referral to GI because she said I will call the police again and said we can go ourselves. About a month ago was her GI appointment. Before the appointment she and DH were arguing. She insisted we will get the diagnosis at the appointment. DH was saying the doctor will refer us elsewhere but DD was insistent she wanted the diagnosis at the appointment. She was mad the entire appointment and refused to talk to the Dr. or talk about her symptoms. She wouldn't let the Dr. examine her. I tell her she needs to let the Dr. examine her and we need to do what the Dr. says. She then says she will do what the Dr. says if I make one promise. The promise is that she won't have an endoscopy. Dammit! DH was trying to convince DD she needs it and DD agrees only if she won't have to take medication or do anything to mitigate the vomiting. At home she told us she likes vomiting and doesn't want to stop it and will do stuff that will make her vomit. DH kept blaming me yesterday and today for DD not wanting an endoscopy. I blame DH for arguing with DD before the appointment. We insisted she do the endoscopy. She had gastritis. The doc then wanted her to blow into something to find out what infection caused the gastritis. I told her if she doesn’t cooperate we will have to take a blood test. She insisted we do the blood test first. Then I say there is no blood test just blow into the thing, she flat out refuses. She refuses to take medication. My other DD is 20 and rents a unit downstairs in our multi family home. As soon as DD turned 18 she moved in with her sister. She probably isn’t taking her medication. I saw her vomit in a vomit bag yesterday outside. It’s disgusting. No one wants to see you excrete bodily fluids. It reminded me of the time I confronted a man for throwing up by the tree. Yuck.
