It is still early to tell whether your cycle worked or not. Usually by 9dp5dt (11dp3dt in your case) the result will be more accurate. If the embryo implants then the progesterone support is critical and you will be asked to continue till 8-10 weeks You have presumably spent $$$$ already on this cycle. Do not discontinue any meds without consulting your nurse and doctor.

OP here. My problem is if I'm not pregnant then I don't want to continue progesterone 3x a day and estrogen 2x a day for another 8 days until SG tests me. If I stop the progesterone, I will get my period when I normally should. If I'm pregnant, I'm not going to miscarry bc I skipped 4 days of progesterone.....right? Anyone else feel like its $$/gimicky BS to make me spend money on pills and suppositories when I'm not pregnant?

I never got period on progresterone. 2-3 days after stopping is when my period would come.

I've heard some people do, but I didn't. I have a short luteal phase and without exception start spotting around 8-10 DPO every month, period starts on 12 DPO, when I'm not doing treatments. With the progesterone suppositories I did not have spotting or get my period until three days after I stopped the suppositories.

Your trigger might still be in the bloodstream. So you can test, but it will not be reliable. If you're into testing early, should have tested the trigger out first.

when i did my fresh 3 day transfer the hcg trigger was out of my system by 3dp3dt (6dpo) negative tests on all brands - and i got an obvious line on a 10miu sensitive strip at 6dp3dt (9dpo). all the tests were positive by 7dp3dt (10dpo). Beta at 13do was 94 (i was with SIRM in NYC and they don't wait that long to test). Healthy DD from that transfer.

You could test today and then test in two days. If there is a line and it's getting darker, it's likely not the trigger. If it's getting lighter, that might be the trigger.

11 days after the trigger? Of course, you can test now.

It's probably too soon to see a + though if you are pg.

I usually waited until 11dpo to so save myself some stress.

There are three arguments for not testing:

1. The trigger might not be out of your system, leading to a false positive.
2. Many pregnancies are lost before the mother realizes she's pregnant. If you test early, you're more likely to find out about an early loss. Some people might prefer to not be aware they were pregnant in the first place than realize their pregnancy was lost.
3. You may be pregnant, but still get a negative if the HCG hasn't had a chance to rise yet.

I personally don't think it's bad to test if you are prepared to take the results with a very large grain of salt. If it's positive, it could be the trigger or alternatively, the likelihood of an early loss is high. If it's negative, it might just be too early.

The reason they tell you not to test is that the hormones in the trigger shot can cause a false positive. As PP mentioned, I'd have tested out the trigger to make sure it was out of your system. It can take as long as 10+ days for it to be out of your system, and some say as long as 14.

I got pregnant from a day 3 transfer. My clinic tests 15 dpo; I tested myself 1 week after the transfer (10dpo) and it was negative. Test if you like but you may be testing too early.

If you used a HCG trigger did you test that out?Once your triggers gone you can start testing as early as 4dp5dt. Shady Grove has you come in for the bloodwork at 2 weeks post transfer as they say they want to make sure it's not a chemical but many clinics do the first beta at 9dp5dt.

My ER was 8/11. I triggered on 8/09. Usually when I trigger I get my period 2 weeks from that date minus one day...13 days later. That means I would get my period on this Wednesday. I did a 3 day transfer on 8/14.

I know this isn't a normal cycle but normally I could get a positive HPT 2 days before my period. So why can't I test now? Has anyone tested this early and it was reliable?
Shady Grove is saying come in on 8/29 for a blood test.....but I would normally get my period a week before that day.
