Are they like no-seems like I the Caribbean or actually bugs that literally live in your hair with a difficult life cycle to break?

You know the term is “no see ‘ems” because you can’t see them (theoretically), right?

You know that google/Apple likes to auto-correct randomly, right?

Don’t be a douche.

We were in ocean city this week and didn’t get them, but the lifeguards were warning people. They recommended jumping in the pool after swimming in the ocean, so that the chlorine kills them.

It's not hair lice. It's water based see lice like in the Caribbean. I'm the op, and we encountered them in fenwick. And friends encountered them in Bethany.

One of my kids got bitten terrible. From now on I'm bringing the sea lice lotion with me.

We just got back from Rehoboth today, swam in the ocean all last week and none of us encountered this. I think you'll be fine.

It's jellyfish larvae that causes a rash. Not the same as head lice, but still not pleasant to encounter.

Yikes. I've heard of this being a problem at the Florida beaches this summer (at least before red tide moved in), but didn't' realize it was happening at our beaches. We leave for Rehoboth tomorrow.

A woman sprung out of the ocean at fenwick state park complaining of sea lice. She showered off at the bath house and came back reporting that the park ranger confirmed they're dealing with sea lice. I checked my kids who went swimming, and one had them. Showered him off and went home to shower again. He has bites on his legs.

We've encountered this in the Caribbean, but never in DE.

Anyone else?
