Since your 3 year old may not have the longest attention span, I would try things that are like 1/2 episodes like:
Wallace and Grommet—the collection
I bought the chuck jones collection on iTunes:p but it’s also on dvd:

Disney shorts
My kids with a 4 year age difference both liked Scooby-Doo episodes and the movie Singing in the Rain when the oldest was 3 and when the younger one was 3 his older brother still liked these.

Big always creeped me out b/c he’s a child who actually had sex with an adult woman. They should have left it innocent at a kiss. When I take away this ick factor, it’s brilliant.

I think most Disney/Pixar movies are designed to fill this need. Don't overlook the live action movies. Sky High was a particular family favorite.

We’ve done family movie night forever with our oldest son on Fridays... and our youngest son is gradually able to stay up later and soon will be joining in watching for at least part of the time. Suggestions that both ages would enjoy?
