You're probably right and Jeff has lots of experience identifying trolls. But I would offer that sitting at the airport for your flight while freaking out offers the opportunity to find an audience on DCUM. So it's not that far fetched.

Because it's a situation that could critically affect lives, OP could easily be ID'ed, Jeff doesn't like the site involved in potential lawsuits (understandably), etc.
