He was 18 months and lived in my neighborhood. My daughter was the exact same age at the time and it scared me so much I still cut her grapes and she’s turning 5. And I don't care who thinks I’m crazy.

Blueberries generally aren’t large enough and some kids do have trouble chewing at that age. My kid did b/c of low tone.

I did when dd was younger but at 2.5 years just a reminder to chew one at a time.

I don’t like the word crazy but it’s entirely unnecessary. Your 2.5 year old can certainly chew and swallow blueberries (and grapes for that matter) without choking. Save yourself the trouble.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that if it helps you to feel more secure.

For me, I think cutting them makes a mess so I didn't with mine. But some kids make a huge mess eating regardless so no harm done

I cut grapes, cherry tomatoes and big blueberries. The little blueberries I leave whole

Am I crazy for cutting blueberries in half before giving them to my 2.5 year old? They seem like such perfect little choking hazards, but I am also the person who would cut my own grapes in half when I lived alone because I was afraid of choking on them with no one there to heimlich me.
